Downtown Lagos

I've just exchanged office views of Victoria Street in London for that of downtown Lagos. This is the office window view as photographed by me yesterday afternoon. Forget the skyline in Dubai or Bangkok. Igbosere, Lagos, is where it's at right now!

Glad that you are home safe and sound. I like this view out your window. To me it is the comfort of a chaotic African city.

V--Thanks. I am looking for a very big place, so our Honorary African Woman - and others - can visit!

JD--Don't mind me. You will hear from me sooner rather than later.

Lauri--I'm loving the chaotic grace of the view. Right now the sun lends a warm late afternoon glow to everything; the buildings cast lean shadows; and the road is patterned in strips of light and dark...

Hope Lagos brings you inspiration. And I mean that without any tinge of skepticism.

Welcome.

Just got back from Nigeria. I saw your photo in one of the Nigerian papers. Wasnt sure if you were back for good or just there for the event. Nigeria, love it/hate it, there is some buzz about the place that you cant find here in the UK. But honestly, its a crumbling heap, but I still love it.
