I am so pleased to Chimamanda win this award for Half of a Yellow Sun. I enjoyed the book immensely and have recommended to my book club. I think every Black person should read this book to get an indepth understanding of what the Biafran War was all about. I know I found it very enlightening. I'm also very pleased to have discovered this blog and have added it to my favorites.

ReplyDeleteAnd Congrats to Nigerian writer, Chinua Achebe, for winning the International Man Booker Prize in honour of his literary career: R.E.S.P.E.C.T!
At last someone in the mould of Soyinka and Achebe. Nigerian literature is dying and we need people like her to reawaken it. Cheers and more grease to your elbow
